It’s something that can be done while the kids are in bed and you can gather your thoughts; it may help to still have a shopping list beside you to ensure that you are getting everything that you need. Then it’s simply a case of organizing a day suitable for yourself for delivery.
Prep The Food
Batch cooking is becoming a big hit among parents, and not just because of the convenience of it all. It’s a day where you cook enough meals to last you for the week, and simply reheat as and when you need them. It means that you can spend more time with your children focusing on the things that matter rather than slaving away in the kitchen or nipping out to get dinner. It’s cost-effective and will help you to save money over time due to the lack of waste – everything simply gets dished out over the days. Have A Plan
Even if you don’t like sticking to a routine, a lot of the time children do. It can be a bit of a Catch 22 situation, but as long as you have a rough plan of what you’re going to be doing on each day then at least you can adapt it if it’s not going to be suitable. It’s not to say that you need to have a meticulous regime that is stuck to, but as long as you have things to be getting on with during the day and some form of structure, it tends to really help gauge how stressful the day is going to be.
